KORAPUT/BHUBANESWAR: As part of BJP’s Lok Sabha Pravas Campaign, which was launched by Party Chief JP Nadda, BJP National Vice-President in Charge Assam and Delhi, and former 4th times MP from Odisha, Baijayant Jay Panda, paid a visit to the Maoists hit south-western district of Koraput on Monday , where he held several meetings with Party workers and leaders to expand base for battle 2024.
The senior BJP leader, Panda, who represented Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat in Odisha twice , besides, 2 terms in Rajya Sabha, held meeting at Mahadeiput in Koraput, where thousands of tribal people , besides, BJP workers and leaders attended. Panda asked party workers and leaders in Koraput to focus on booth strengthening, increasing the presence of party leaders, taking central government schemes to the public, among other things.
‘Under the visionary guidance of Shri @JPNadda Ji & with people’s support, the world’s largest political party continues to progress & expand. Shared my thoughts at Mandal Pravas Baithak in Mahadeiput, Koraput. Deliberated on strengthening the party further at grassroots level,” the BJP leader Jay Panda said in a tweet.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also paying visits to several areas, where BJP is in weak position. He already toured Salipur and Nischantkoili areas in Cuttack.
It may be noted here that JP Nadda has already visited Kandhamal and Puri , two Lok Sabha seats in Odisha and next Bhadrak Lok Sabha seat is on line for Nadda’s visit. The BJP is focussing on 144 weak Lok Sabha seats initially ahead of next Lok Sabha polls. That has now been expanded to 160 seat. The idea of the saffron party is to focus on booth strengthening, increasing the presence of party leaders, taking central government schemes to the public, among other things.
