NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: BJP National VP-Spokesperson and 4th times MP, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda was on Thursday congratulated Manoj Singh on being appointed as new Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir replacing incumbent GC Murmu.
“I heartily congratulate Shri Manoj Sinha Ji, new Lt. Governor of Jammu & Kashmir. He’s understated & humble but extremely intelligent, well educated, politically & administratively experienced, superbly qualified for this important assignment. We were recently in Manipur together,” the senior BJP leader tweeted with a photo of Sinha with him along with Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
The President has accepted the resignation of Girish Chandra Murmu as Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. The President has been also pleased to appoint Manoj Sinha, to be the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office vice Girish Chandra Murmu.
