BHUBANESWAR: BJP National Vice President In charge for Assam and Delhi, and former MP Baijayant Jay Panda on Wednesday expressed his deep condolences on sad demise of former Rajya Sabha MP and former MLA Rajamata Sushree Devi, who passed away at 74 at Aul Royal Palace, located at Cuttack.
‘ଆଳି ରାଜମାତା, ବରିଷ୍ଠ ନେତ୍ରୀ ତଥା ପୂର୍ବତନ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସଭା ସାଂସଦ ସୁଶ୍ରୀ ଦେବୀଙ୍କ ବିୟୋଗ ଖବର ଶୁଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ ଏବଂ ମର୍ମାହତ। ତାଙ୍କ ସହ ମୋର ଦୀର୍ଘ ସମୟର ରାଜନୈତିକ ତଥା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ପରିଚୟ ଥିଲା । ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରିବା ସହ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାର ବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି ।ଓଁ ଶାନ୍ତି,” former Kendrapara Lok Sabha MP Jay Panda said in an X post.
Late Rajamata Sushree Devi is wife of late former Minister and former MP late Raja Saheb Sarat Deb and mother to Odisha Industry, Energy and MSME Minister Pratap Deb.
She was elected from Aul Assembly constituency in 1990 as a Janata Dal candidate. She represented the constituency till 1995. Thereafter, Sushree Devi was a member of Rajya Sabha from 2002 to 2008. During her tenure as an MP, she was member of several important parliamentary committees.
