GUWAHATI/BHUBANESWAR: BJP National Vice-President In Charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant ‘Jay’Panda has expressed deep condolences to family members of Bablu Rabha , a young CRPF Jawan, from Assam, who laid down his life while fighting the outlawed left-wing ultras in Chhattisgarh’s Vijapur district. Bablu Rabha, hailing from Assam’s Dudhnoi belonged to the elite unit of CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) of CRPF.
“Among the brave Indian jawans murdered by leftists in Chhattisgarh was Assam’s Bablu Rabha. This largest NE state has finally overcome decades of battering by border infiltration & insurgency, but today mourns its son lost defending other parts of our beloved nation.Om Shanti,” Jay Panda, a former 4th times MP from Odisha said.
While condemning the attack, the BJP National VP targeted people chanting Laal Salam. “Deeply sad & angry at our jawans’ murder in #Chhattisgarh by Maoists. Some young ppl today are seduced by leftist ideology, unaware of the horrific violence they espouse, which has killed crores worldwide. Think about it the next time you hear someone say Lal Salaam.Om Shanti,” Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda tweeted @PandaJay. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in a tweet expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
At least 22 security personnel have been killed in the line of duty after an encounter on Saturday with Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, about 400 km from state capital Raipur. A member of the security group is still missing.
