Since the outbreak of COVID-19 and subsequent lockdown, the senior BJP leader Panda, has been working overtime to reach out to poor and the needy during the humanitarian crisis. But sources said, when the former MP Panda came to know, some tribal families facing hardship in Mahakalpada Assembly segment of Kendrapara, he immediately swung into action and asked his officials to meet the families. Local BJP leaders along with officials of the Offices of the former MP reach out to the tribal families.
“This is a village with Adivasis in Kendrapada (which is a non-Tribal, coastal district) who were eating curried snails due to a shortage of food. Someone informed my office regarding the issue then in coordination with my office & in guidance of BJP Odisha Mahakalapada MLA candidate Shri Bijay Pradhan, our Karyakartas Sarojkant Sahoo, Uday Kumar Rout & Sarat Chandra Mohanty reached them today morning and handed over ration kit & other essentials,” the former Kendrapara MP, Panda twitted with photos of poor tribal families struggling to get a square meal during this crisis.
