NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR:  BJP’s National Vice President, Election in -Charge for Uttar Pradesh and In-charge for Assam and Delhi, Baijayant Jay Panda, attended a late night BJP’s BJP Central Election Committee meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to finalise the first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Besides, PM Modi, National VP Jay Panda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh,  BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda , Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Gujarat’s Bhupendra Patel, Madhya Pradesh’s Mohan Yadav, Chhattisgarh’s Vishnu Deo Sai, Uttarakhand’s Pushkar Singh Dhami and Goa’s Pramod Sawant were among those present at the meeting.

The BJP will release list early to ensure that the candidates get about 50 days to campaign.  The Party reportedly cleared the names of potential candidates for over 125 Lok Sabha seats. It is believed that the party may field many RS MPs in the LS elections this time in addition to bringing new faces in the fray, also depending upon their inability.
