GUWAHATI/BHUBANESWAR: BJP National VP in Charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant ‘Jay’Panda has addressed the State exeutive meeting of State BJP in Guwahati.
Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sharma, Union Ministers Sarbanand Sonwal, Tameswar Teli, BJP General secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh, National general secretary Dilip Saikia, Assam BJP President Bhabesh Kalita, General Secretary (Organisation) for North-East, Ajay Jamwal and Assam Saha Prabhari Pawan Sharma and others attended the meeting and discussed about State’s political and other developments.
In a bid to further strengthen the party in Assam, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday mooted increasing its organisational districts in the state to 45 from the existing 39.
On the first day of the state executive meeting held at Amingaon near Guwahati, Assam BJP chief Bhabesh Kalita declared that the party is targeting to also increase its member strength in the state to 60 lakh from the existing 42 lakh.
