NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR:  The bonhomie between BJP National VP Baijayant Jay Panda and Party’s Odisha unit President Manmohan Samal, seems giving a good signal in view of the reported factionalism within the Saffron establishment in this eastern State, where Party’s Central leadership want a single majority Government in future aims to dethrone 2 decade old Naveen Patnaik Government.

The State President Samal, who was in New Delhi, had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, while on Friday; he had gone to meet Party’s National VP Jay Panda, where both Panda and Samal discussed about the Party’s future strategy for battle 2024, sources said. Sources said , Samal is seems preferring National VP Jay Panda than 3 Union Ministers from Odisha including Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishanaw and Bisheswar Tudu to form his strategies.

National VP Panda and State President Samal , seems having good terms with Party’s National Pravari, Sunil Bansal and BJP top Brasses.

After meeting  State President Samal in New Delhi, National VP Jay Panda , said “Manmohan Bhai’s long experience will further strengthen the party at the booth level and pave the way for Bharatiya Janata Party to form a strong government in Odisha in the upcoming elections,’.

‘Today in Delhi I had a long discussion with my friend @BJP4Odisha and state president @SamalManmohan7 about the organization and state politics. Manmohan Bhai’s long experience will further strengthen the party at the booth level and pave the way for Bharatiya Janata Party to form a strong government in Odisha in the upcoming elections,’ senior BJP leader  Jay Panda tweeted.

Both Panda and Samal are having strong political experiences and backed by Central leadership, both Panda and Samal could do a damage to the ruling BJD which is ruling the State since 2000.

The BJP in the changing scenario in Odisha, now spirited to give a befitting fight to the Enormous BJD , which was evident from the recently concluded budget session of the Assembly. The entire session was dominated by BJP which launched attacks on the BJD Government and its governance style on a daily basis while the Treasury Bench was absolutely in defensive mode.

Meanwhile, Manmohan Samal has also intensified the BJP campaign when Jaynarayan Mishra emerged as an able Leader of Opposition in the recent times due to his straight attack on the government, the ruling party and also Chief Minister.

The Governing BJD, despite having 112 members in the House of 147, was seen in defensive mode while the BJP (22) and Congress (9) continued to attack the ruling dispensation. Barring Debi Prasad Mishra, Arun Kumar Sahoo and few others, the Members of Treasury Bench remained cool in the House this time. Even CPI(M)’s lone member Laxman Munda was seen active. In this backdrop, the bonhomie between Jay Panda and Manmohan Samal, might give a new direction to BJP in Odisha.
