KENDRAPARA: BJP National Vice-President and Spokesperson Baijayant’Jay’Panda on Wednesday held a massive Padyatra in Kendrapara on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
The former Lok Sabha from Kendrapara, Panda was flanked by senior leader Bijay Mohapatra, Bishnu Das, Umakanta Pattnaik and Salim Khan.
It was perhaps Panda’s major rally in Kendrapara after he lost the Lok Sabha polls early this year. Besides, two times terms in Rajya Sabha, Panda elected twice to Lok Sabha from Kendrapara while he was in BJD.
Sources said, response was very impressive both at Padyatra and at a public meeting, where Panda highlighted Gandhian ethics and achievement of Narendra Modi led NDA Government. Panda also posted a vedio message in his social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram appealing people to remain clean and highlighted the cleanness drive of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan led a Padyatra at Telengapentha in Cuttack and listed out Modi Government’s gifts to Odisha. Pradhan also recollected Gandhiji’s Odisha connection.
