Badambadi PS Case No. 353, Six arrested in connection with an alleged blackmail and sexual assault case

Summary of the case :-

The Badambadi Police have arrested three individuals in connection with an alleged blackmail and sexual assault case. The complainant, reported that she was blackmailed into forced physical relations by multiple individuals who threatened to release a compromising video of her.

According to the complaint, the accused initially recorded the complainant during a video call and subsequently used this footage to coerce her. The main accused, along with his associates, allegedly shared the video among friends, pressuring her under threat of public exposure. The complainant also alleged caste-based abuse and repeated assaults at different locations, including a house near Trisulia and a café.

The Badambadi Police registered the case on November 4, 2024, and initiated a swift investigation. Early on November 5, 2024, police conducted targeted raids and apprehended six  accused persons involved in the heinous case. The case has been registered under the SC & ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the IT Act, and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sahinta, including gang rape charges. The accused have been remanded to judicial custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
