BHUBANESWAR: Badagada P.S Case No- 155, Dtd. 23.03.2025, U/s-329(3)/296(b)/351(3) BNS rw 25 (1)(a) Arms Act
Arrest Made: 1.Sikhar Chandra Jena (65), S/o- Late Kalandi Jena of Jharpada, PS- Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar.
Investigation Findings:
On 23.03.2025, complainant Imteyaj Khan and his family visited their plot at Unit-33, Jharpada, Puri Bypass Road, where they found the accused constructing a boundary wall without authorization. When they objected, the accused brandished a gun from his car and issued life threats.
Badagada PS apprehended the accused near Mangaraj Point the same night. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime. It is noteworthy that the accused has a history of involvement in land-grabbing cases, with multiple criminal records at Laxmisagar Police Station.
A case has been registered under Sections 329(3)/296(b)/351(3)/111(2)(b) of the BNSS, along with Section 25(1)(a) of the Arms Act. After his medical examination, a request was made to remand him in judicial custody for 15 days. he has been forwarded to the court with a request for judicial custody.
Further investigation is ongoing.
