BHUBANESWAR: BJD Organising Secretary and MLA Pranab Prakash Das alias Babby on Saturday took on Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw over allocation to Odisha in Union Railways Budget. Odisha got more than Rs 10,000 crore in Railway Budget for 2023-24.
In a series of tweets, MLA Das said, “ ଚଳିତ ବର୍ଷ ରେଳ ବଜେଟରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ପାଇଁ ଅଧିକ ଅର୍ଥ ଆବଣ୍ଟନ ହୋଇଥିବା କହି ବାହା ବାହା ନେବା ଛାଡ଼, ବାସ୍ତବତା କଣ ସେଟା ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀ ବହୁତ ଭଲ ଭାବେ ବୁଝି ସାରିଛନ୍ତି। ଉଦାହରଣ, ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା-ବଲାଙ୍ଗିର ରେଳ ଲାଇନ ଯାହା ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବରୁ କାମ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ୯ ବର୍ଷରେ ମାତ୍ର ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧାରୁ ନୟାଗଡ଼ ରେଳ ଚାଲି ପାରିଛି।,”
“ଏ ହେଉଛି ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ରେଳ ବିକାଶର ବାସ୍ତବ ଚିତ୍ର। ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ଭୁଆଁ ବୁଲାନ୍ତୁ ନାହିଁ। ଯଦି କାମ କରି ପାରୁନାହାନ୍ତି ତେବେ ଚୁପ ରୁହନ୍ତୁ। ଆବଣ୍ଟନର ସ୍ୱପ୍ନ ଭିତରେ ବାସ୍ତବତା କେତେ ତାହା ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀ ଜାଣି ସାରିଛନ୍ତି।,’ MLA Das said.
“୨୦୨୧-୨୨ ବର୍ଷରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ପାଇଁ ରେଳରେ ଆବଣ୍ଟିତ ହୋଇଥିବା ଅର୍ଥ ବାସ୍ତବରେ କେତେ ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ହୋଇଛି, ଯଦି ଦେଖାଯିବ ତେବେ ଆବଣ୍ଟନ ସ୍ୱପ୍ନର ବାସ୍ତବତା ପ୍ରତିଫଳିତ ହେବ। ମୁଁ ପୁଣି ଅନୁରୋଧ କରୁଛି ଦୟାକରି ଓଡ଼ିଶାବାସୀଙ୍କୁ ଭୁଆଁ ବୁଲାନ୍ତୁ ନାହିଁ।,’ he added.
“The annual average outlay for railway sector in Odisha was Rs 838 crore in between 2009 and 2014. However, the Centre has allocated Rs 10,012 crore for railway sector in the state in the Budget 2023-24. The present allocation is 12 times more than the average annual outlay during 2009-14 period. This is the record allocation for railway sector in Odisha,” said the Railway Minister.
