BHUBANESWAR: Union Communications, IT and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flanked by Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday launched the 5G services in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and several other towns.
More than 500 base transceiver stations have been installed by Jio and Airtel for this purpose.
The 5G service will provide blazing fast internet and superior network to the users. They also dedicated 100 4G towers in rural areas of Odisha on the occasion.
“A momentous day for 21st century Odisha. Today, 4.5 crore+ Odias are getting the gift of 5G. Inauguration of 5G services is a breakthrough that will usher in infinite possibilities, help realise PM Narendra Modi’s vision of Purvodaya & pave the way for a new era for Odisha,’ Pradhan said.
