BALASORE/BHUBANESWAR: As per the direction of DIG of Police, ER, Balasore Dr Satyajit Naik, a special drive is continuing in Balasore, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj district against illegal lifting and transportation of Minor minerals i.e. sand, lateral soil etc.
During enforcement on 06.03.2025, 07 cases have been detected in Mayurbhanj district in which 05 tractors, 01 Mini truck and one dumper have been seized while transporting sand illegally with arrest of 05 accused persons. Similarly, in Balasore district 06 number of cases have been detected in which 13 tractors and 02 trucks were seized while transporting sand illegally with arrest of 14 accused persons.
The enforcement is going on and feed backs from local residents are being taken to make this drive success. The details of cases registered are furnished below:-
