BHUBANESWAR: As expected, an enigma called Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, again kept the Nitish Kumar and Mamata Banerjee led Non-BJP and Non-Congress alternative, in guessing and clearly hinted that the BJD is not in rush on this issue.
“No discussion held over forming any alliance,’ said BJD Boss Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik said. Odishs Government to provide 1.5 acres of land in Puri free of cost to Bihar Govt for a Bhavan for devotees coming to offer prayers at Puri Shri Jagannath Temple, Patnaik said.
“I am delighted that Nitish ji is here in Bhubaneswar. We are old friends and colleagues, ever since we served in Mr. Vajpayee’s cabinet together. We had discussions for 1.5 acres of land in Puri which will be given to the Bihar Government free of cost for construction of Bihar Bhawan for tourists and pilgrims who come to Puri to visit Shree Jagannath Temple,” said Patnaik. Bihar CM said, “There was no political discussion. Our relationship is old. I used to pay him visit regularly before the COVID situation.”
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar earlier on Tuesday met Odisha counterpart, Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneswar and held discussion regarding a Non-BJP and Non-Congress political alternative ahead of 2024 general elections but he did not have any positive response from Naveen Patnaik, sources said.
Nitish Kumar also took lunch at Naveen Niwas , where he discussed about Non-BJP and Non-Congress Political front. Nitish Kumar will go go Maharashtra on May 11 to meet NCP chief Sharad Pawar and former CM Uddhav Thackeray.
