BHUBANESWAR:On 08.03.2026, at about 21.05 hrs, during drive conducted by RPF BBS at Bhubaneswar Railway Station led to the arrest of three ganja peddlers and the seizure of 25.2 kg of cannabis valued at Rs.2.5 Lakhs.
Name and address of drug peddlers
1. DiIlip Tripathy, aged 47 years, S/o- Late Sitaram Tripathy, R/O-Uparsahi, PS- Athagarh, Dist- Cuttack, Odisha
2. Sk. Mostakim, aged 24 years, S/O- Golam Mostafa, R/O- Singi, PS- Bolpur Shantiniketan, Dist- Birbhum, West Bengal
3. Sk. Rajib, aged 33 years, S/O- Lal Sk, At- Sansat, PS- Bolpur Shantiniketan, Dist- Birbhum, West Bengal
The accused were arrested under sections 20(b)(ii)(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. The seized ganja and the accused were taken the IIC/GRPS/BBS for taking legal action. Consequently, GRPS/Bhubaneswar registered a case against drug peddler *vide Case No* . *43 dated 09.03.2026 under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) of the NDPS Act, 1985.*
