BHUBANESWAR:     Around 150 delegates attended a conference on Pediatric Gastroenterology held at the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here on Sunday.

Prof. (Dr.) Ujjal Poddar, an eminent gastroenterologist from the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow and Prof. (Dr.) N.C.Mohanty from MGM Hospital, Mumbai were the resource persons at the conference where the deliberations were mainly on liver and gastrointestinal disorders in children.

Pediatricians and post-graduate students from across the state participated in the event and interacted with the resource persons.

Prof. (Dr.) Mamata Devi Mohanty, Head of Department of Pediatrics at IMS and SUM Hospital, Prof. (Dr.) Girish Pati, Head of department of Gastroenterology in the hospital, Prof. (Dr.) Mrutyunjay Dash, Pediatrician and Dr. Kalpana Panda, Associate Professor, organised the conference with the support of the Bhubaneswar branch of Indian Academy of Pediatricians.
