BHUBANESWAR: On Friday, at about 11:25 AM, Sri Ranjan Kumar Mallick, Asst. Revenue Inspector,(ARI), Chupuringi RI Office, under Kanasa Tahasil, Dist. Puri has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.10000/- from a complainant of Puri district for submitting a favourable report regarding eligibility of the complainant for cyclone damage relief. The entire bribe money has been recovered from Sri Mallick and seized.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar PS CASE NO. 18/2022 u/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation in progress against accused Sri Mallick. Detailed report follows.
