CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: With the Enforcement Directorate is all set to quiz honeytrap blackmailer Archana Nag and Hubby, Jagabandhu jointly and planning for faced off of the couple before it, the Orissa High Court on Wednesday rejected the interim protection plea of Shradhanjali Behera, associate of honeytrap accused and blackmailer Archana Nag.
The HC asked Shradhanjali to cooperate with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the investigation. The next hearing of the matter will take place on January 17.
Shradhanjali had appeared before the ED at its office in Bhubaneswar twice for questioning. Archana had allegedly deposited significant amount of money in Shradhanjali’s bank account between 2017 and 2022.
The Enforcement Directorate was earlier on Tuesday allowed by a local court here on Tuesday to take ArchanaNag on remand for 6 more days from today in connection with the high-profile honeytrap scandal. Nag’s husband Jagabandhu Chand will also be taken by the agency on remand for 9 days from December 14.
The ED had on Tuesday arrested the couple on the charges of money laundering under section 19 of Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, after completion of Archana’s seven-day remand.
Worth mentioning, Archana and Jagabandhu are now lodged in the Jharapada special jail following their arrest by the Commissionerate Police on the charges of blackmailing a number of big people .
Arachana Nag Chand and her husband , Jagabandhu Chand were booked under Sections 341, 328, 324, 354 – C, 370, 386/387/388, 389, 419/420, 465, 506, 120 – B of IPC and Section 66 -E, 67 of IT Act also by City Police.
