BHUBANESWAR: The Annual day Function of the Autism Therapy Centre (ATC), Bhubaneswar along with the Autism Awareness Day were celebrated today (01/12/2024) with veneration and gaiety in the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) Auditorium near Kalinga Hospital Square, Bhubaneswar.
The function was attended by the Autistic Children, their Parents and family members besides a number of distinguished dignitaries. Dr (Prof) Manas Ranjan Sahoo, Vice-Chancellor, OUHS University was the Chief Guest. After reception of the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests, the auspicious Lamp was lighted to mark the commencement of the function.
The Annual Report presented by the Chairman, MAN Trust Ms Swarnalata Mishra enumerated various activities conducted by the ATC. Prominent among them are Annual Sports Meet, observance of various important National Celebration days, Religious Celebration days, Bano Mahotsava and etc.
The winner of prizes in “Sports Meet” as well as Debate Competition organised on the topic “Autism: Disease, Disability or Different Ability” with a view to creating awareness about Autism in the Society, were awarded prizes in the function. Sri Gautam Panda (CHINU) was awarded the “ATC Champion-2024” prize. The function was presided over by Sri Madan Mohan Panda, one of the Trustees of MAN Trust and Prof (Dr) Ranjan Kumar Bal, Vice Chancellor, ASBM & Member, Executive Committee of ATC rendered the vote of thanks. Autistic Children presented cultural programme after the meeting and all the guests and participants were treated with Lunch before parting.
