SAMBALPUR: Due to hectic lifestyle, unhealthy eating habits and lack of physical activity, serious diseases like heart disease are increasing in Odisha, the country and the world. To prevent this, we especially need to encourage the youth to eat a balanced diet and adopt a healthy lifestyle, said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while attending the 30th Annual Conference-2025 of the Odisha branch of the Cardiological Society of India (CSI) in Sambalpur on Saturday.
It is commendable that such a session is being organized in Sambalpur with the aim of promoting research, education and treatment methods in the field of heart disease. Nowadays, heart disease has become a big challenge for the human society and health experts in the world. In this conference, we will get an opportunity to discuss the treatment methods, latest technologies being developed, data analysis and research on heart disease. In a city like Sambalpur, this event is a great opportunity for the local medical community. It will be beneficial not only for our doctors but also for the patients. He discussed the need to make Sambalpur a modern city and plan to improve the quality of medical services in the area.
He said that in the past, 60% of the diagnostic tests required direct human intervention, but now the times have changed and machine diagnosis is becoming faster and more accurate. The health sector will benefit greatly in the coming days when 6G comes. Doctors from the district headquarters hospital will be able to see patients in the rural areas accurately and treat them. On the other hand, earlier there were dialysis centers in the capitals or big cities of various states in the country. Due to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, dialysis centers are being opened in the government system all over India and arrangements are being made to provide this medical service free of cost. A dialysis center is available in the Redhakhol sub-district hospital. Health is our wealth. Human society must maintain its health to build a developed Odisha and a developed India.
