KORAPUT: An awareness program titled “A Tree in the Name of Mother” was organized by the Central Bureau of Communications, Jaipur, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Union Government, at Alamanda village, Tutogaon Block, on the occasion of National Nutrition Month.
The program was organized under the supervision of Assistant Director Shri Jitendra Kumar Pradhan. Local ICDS Supervisor Mrs. Tulavati Mach, UGB Bank Branch Manager Shri Laxmi Narayan Dheur, MBK Sushri Jyoti Sahabi and Banapal Shri Jaishankar Padaka were present in the program. Along with this, Field Publicity Officer Shri Jyoti Ranjan Patnaik successfully conducted the program.
The speakers at the event raised awareness about various schemes being implemented by the government for nutrition, health and welfare. They highlighted the importance of consuming nutritious food and conveyed a social message of paying homage to Mother Earth through the message of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, planting a tree in her name and contributing to the protection of the environment.
The drama team of Central Bureau of Communications from Bhubaneswar created awareness through street plays. Along with this, various competitions were also organized. Such as Rangoli competition in high schools and primary schools and among the villagers. The winning participants were also awarded by the department.
