BHUBANESWAR: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday offered prayers at Lingaraj Temple in state capital Bhubaneswar.
Soon after his arrival, Shah was greeted by servitors of the 11th century Shiva shrine. He was accompanied by Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Pratap Sarangi, BJP National VP-Spokesperson Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda, Odisha BJP chief Samir Mohanty, and Aparajita Sarangi.
Shah also offered a garland of 108 lotuses to the deity.Followers of the minister also gathered outside the temple to catch a glimpse of the leader. The Union minister waved at them before being escorted to the shrine amid tight security.Earlier today, Shah visited the Puri Srimandir and offered prayers to the Holy Trinity.
