NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: BJD Rajya Sabha MPs including Dr Amar Patnaik, Dr Sasmit Patra and Sujeet Kumar on Sunday deeply condoled the death of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Rajiv Satav, who passed away at 46.Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Satav died early Sunday morning due to post Covid-19 complications.Forty-six-year-old Satav, who was also a member of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), breathed his last at 5am. Satav was diagnosed with a fresh infection of Cytomegalovirus in the past four days. He had earlier contracted Sars-Cov-2 for which he was undergoing treatment at Pune based Jahangir Hospital.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the passing away of Rajya Sabha MP, Rajeev Satav Ji.Earlier, in a tweet, the Prime Minister said, “Anguished by the passing away of my friend from Parliament, Shri Rajeev Satav Ji. He was an upcoming leader with much potential. Condolences to his family, friends and supporters. Om Shanti.”
