BHUBANESWAR/NAYAGARH: BJD Rajya Sabha MPs including Dr Amar Patnaik, Dr Sasmit Patra and Party’s General Secretary (Media Affairs), Manas Mangaraj have jointly condemned the attack on Nadighosha TV Journalists by BJP workers at Jodupur in Nayagarh, hitting headiness for Paree murder case. The MPs have urged DGP Abhay to take stringent action against the attackers. Nayagarh Minister Arun Sahoo condemned the attack on the media persons and demanded action against the persons involved in the incident.

“I strongly condemn the barbaric attack on @NandighoshaTV Journalists and their media team by Odisha BJP leaders in Jadupur, Nayagarh. Its sad and unfortunate that Odisha BJP has resorted to goondaism against the Media to cover its falsehood and pack of lies,” BJD MP Dr. Sasmit Patra tweeted @sasmitpatra.

Sources said BJP workers attacked the two media persons, Anuj Kumar Das and Bishnu Prasad Tarasia and damaged their camera and other equipments. Even though senior BJP leaders were present when the two media persons were attacked, none of them stopped the attackers, the protestors claimed.
