CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR:  All roads on Tuesday leading to Cuttack’s Balijatra Ground as 9-days long festival, all set to kicks off and will continue till November 14.

Around 2,000 stalls are being set up this year at the Bali yatra ground on the banks of Kathajodi River. There will also be 500 food stalls to cater to the visitors. 8 parking places have been put in place  on a first-come-first-serve basis. After parking the vehicles, people can either walk or use the e-rickshaws shuttle service to reach the venue.

The Cuttack Municipal Corporation has set up the ‘Cuttack in Cuttack’ pavilion on a huge ten-acre area, wherein a 30-feet high sand art has been created by internationally acclaimed sand artist Padmashri Sudarshan Patnaik. DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal inaugurated the sand art in which around 25,500 lamps and a boat are used.

Over 50 platoons of police force and officers of the district have been deployed to tackle any kind of untoward situation along with the mobilization of more than 100 officers from outside. 20 police aid posts and four Police Support Centres have been set up by the Commissionerate Police for safety and security of the visitors and crowd management.
