BHUBANESWAR: General Council Meeting of All India Regional Rural Bank Employees Association (AIRRBEA), 2023 was held at Bhanj KalaMandap, Bhubaneswar from 24/11/23 to 26/11/23. Association of Odisha Officers’ (AOGBO), Odisha Gramya Bank Employees Association (OGBEA), Odisha Gramya Bank Retirees Association (OGBRA), Utakal Gramen Bank Officers’ Association (UGBOA), Utkal Grameen Bank Employees Association (UGBEA), Utkal Grameen Bank Retirees Welfare Association, All Odisha Gramya Bank Employees Federation (AOGBEF) worked jointly as host unit.
In this event around400 delegates from different states of India were participated. In the first day of the event the Central Committee Meetingof AIRRBEA was organised in which Secretary General of AIRRBEA Com. S. Venkateshwar Reddy, President Com. C.Rajeevan, NFRRBO General Secretary Com Abdul Sayeed Khan, President Com. Shagun Shukla, NFFRRBE General Secretary Com. Shivkaran Dwibedi, President Com. Prashant Choudhary, NFRRBS General Secretary Com. Ganapati Hegde, President Com. Mahendra Singh, AIRRBEA Joint Secretary Com. Maheswar Moharana, NFRRBS Joint Secretary Com. Sarat Hota,Scretary, BEFI, Odisha Unit Com. Trilochan Sahoo along with other Central unit leaders cum members attended the meeting.
On the second day of the meeting The Women Convention of AIRRBEA was organised in which Chief guest Respected Mayor of Bhubaneswar Smt. Sulochana Das, Chief Speaker Prof. Asha Hans, Special Guest Smt. Satyabati Sahoo ( G.M,Odisha Gramya Bank), Guest of Honour Sri. Basudeb Routray (G.M, Odisha Gramya Bank) discussed about women empowerment and the important role of Regional Rural Banks towards women empowerment. Among other guests at thedias Com. L. Pachuau (Chair Person, Women subcommittee AIRRBEA), Com. Meera Nair (Convener, Women subcommittee AIRRBEA), Com. Neeta Hore, (Vice-President, NFRRBE, AIRRBEA), Com. Odissi Chakrabarty, (Joint Convener, Women subcommittee AIRRBEA), Com. Khialee Das (Convener, Women subcommittee AIRRBEA, Odisha) shared their views about women empowerment and the role of women in the current banking sector. In the afternoon of 25th Nov’2023 a big rallywas organised.
In the evening the General Council meeting of AIRRBEA was organised and in this session the SecretaryGeneral of AIRRBEA Com. S. Venkateswar Reddy welcomed all the delegates & discussed various important matters of theassociation. Later in this session Com. Abdul Sayeed Khan, General Scretary, NFRRBO presented the general report.At the end of the second day of meeting a cultural programme was organised representing the art & culture of Odisha. Atthe beginning of the programme Smt. Rasmirekha Puhan & team performed the song “Bande Utkal Janani” and captivate the entire audience through their performance.
The renowned Odishi Dancer Guru Harekrushna Dhala and team enthralled the audience by a beautiful dance performance. The world famous dance group from Bargarh district “Kalajibi” Mr. DillipSahoo & Team performed the famous Sambalpuri dance which astonished many guests came from different parts of the country. Among others the special dance performed by the little kid star Swayam Sanchit Nanda & Ayesha Priyadarshiniattracted a massive cheer from the crowd. The last but not the least the elegant performance of Odishi Dance performedby Smt. Adyasha Priyadarshini and Anisha Abhisikta Rout left a signature of art & culture of Odisha among the viewers.
At the end of second day of meeting the guests awarded all the participants. In the last day of the meeting the General Council Meeting of AIRRBEA open session was organised in which the other delegates of AIRRBEA discussed various matters of the association. At last Com. S. Venkateswar Reddy, Secretary General, AIRRBEA summed up all the discussion made during this event and presented vote of thanks to all the units of AIRRBEA, Odisha for successfully organising the meeting.
