ROURKELA/BHUBANESWAR:All 6 members (2 pilots+ 4 pax) are now in JP Hospital, Rourkela. District Administration including the Collector and SP are closely monitoring the situation and extending the necessary support at Rourkela.

The Principal Secretary, Commerce &Transport has been monitoring the situation and coordinating the concerned officials from the Government of India / Odisha. A control room has been established and made operational at Directorate of Civil Aviation ( Landline: 0674-2596128; Mobile: 9861096371 )  DGCA Team has started from Bhubaneswar/ Kolkata and expected to reach this evening at Rourkela. AAIB is expected to reach by tomorrow for detailed investigation. 2 Officials from Directorate of Civil Aviation have been dispatched to Rourkela for co-ordination with all the stakeholders.

It is to inform that India One Air type of aircraft (Caravan 208) bearing Regn. VT-KSS was flying from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela. Departed at 12:27 hours. It had two pilots and 4 passengers.
 8 Nautical miles short of reaching Rourkela, the aircraft force landed at a place near Jalda. Pilots have ensured the landing due to which lives have been saved. Receiving the information, the Dist. Administration has reached and shifted the injured Pilots and passengers to the medical facilities at Rourkela. Currently, 3 passengers are treated at J.P. Hospital and two Pilots + 1 Pax are treated at RGH, Rourkela. As reported, all are under medical treatment/ observation and no fatalities.
Accident has been informed to Director General Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation and all concerned. As per the Regulations, Airline shall be reporting the details to the DGCA / Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) for further actions.
Directorate of Civil Aviation (Commerce & Transport Department) is seized the matter and extending all the support to the passengers through Dist. Administration and to Airlines as needed. The situation is under close watch and any further development will be updated to the media. Hon’ble Chief Minister has reviewed the Situation and directed the concerned officials to extend all the support from the State to the passengers, pilots and authorities. Hon ‘ble Minister, C & T is also monitoring the situation constantly. Airline is releasing the press note separately.
