BHUBANESWAR:A significant step has been taken today towards making India’s education system more enriched and technologically advanced. Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday launched ‘The Teacher App 2.0’, an innovative initiative of Bharti Airtel Foundation. Shri Pradhan said that this AI-powered app will provide teachers with an empowered medium for modern teaching.
He said that this AI-powered digital assistant will provide teachers with modern teaching tools, quality content and dashboards, which will help in making the teaching process more engaging. Such initiatives in the field of education will empower teachers and further strengthen the foundation of our education system, said the Minister Shri Pradhan. Along with this, he thanked Bharti Airtel Foundation and CK-12 Foundation for this important effort.
India has successfully completed the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ and Artificial Intelligence is transforming every aspect of life today. As per the vision of the National Education Policy 2020, the government is working at a fast pace to integrate technologies like AI in the education system. In this context, ‘The Teacher App 2.0’ will further accelerate the ongoing AI revolution in the country. If AI is used properly, it will act as a ‘force multiplier’ in the education sector, ensuring better learning outcomes and personalized teaching.
Finally, the Minister suggested using Sovereign LLM on this platform and making the training tools available in various Indian languages. This will benefit the multilingual teaching community of the country and the Education Minister expressed hope that ‘The Teacher App 2.0’ will add a new chapter to the ongoing AI revolution in the country.
