BHUBANESWAR: KJS Ahluwalia Group run by Ahluwalia Brothers read, late Kamaljit Singh Ahluwalia, Prashant Ahluwalia and Pawan Ahluwalia have turned out to be one of major donors to Naveen Patnaik and VK Pandian led Biju Janata Dal through Electoral Bonds.
The Group, which faced several ED and IT raids, donated heavily to ruling BJD in Odisha to carry out its mining business. Despite a major player in Odisha mining scam(Nuagaon block in Keonjhar), Ahluwalia Brothers escape unhurt till now.
KJSA Group run KJSA Mines donated Rs 5 crore, while group companies Shree Jagannath Steel and Kaypee Enterprises, which involved in Steel and mining business, donated Rs 14 Crore and Rs 10 Crore respectively. The total donation to BJD which was detected is around Rs 29 Crores.
KJS Ahluwalia Group initially started with Iron ore & Manganese operations and thereafter diversified to Iron & Steel Plant, Power Plant, Cement Plant, Logistic & Transportation and also playing a vital role in Media (Sadhna News channel). Shri Jagannath Steels & Power Ltd, an Integrated Steel Plant with a Facility to Produce Primary Steel from Iron Ore Using State of Art Technology in Keonjhar in Odisha and Kaypee Enterprises , which looking into Mining business in Odisha.
After the death of Kamaljit Singh Ahluwalia, Prashant Ahluwalia now is calling the shorts in Joda-Barbil and Koira areas of Keonjhar and Sundargarh with help of Mining Contractor B Prabhakaran.
