NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: BJP National President JP Nadda on Saturday announced his new team ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in few States. There are 13 vice-presidents, nine general secretaries, including B.L. Santhosh as the in-charge of organisation, and 13 secretaries in the list.
As per the announcement, 4th times former MP Baijayant Jay Panda, only face from Odisha in Nadda’s new team. Of the 13 National Vice-Presidents nominated by BJP, Baijayant Panda was only from Odisha and the former MP was nominated National VP for the 3rd times in a row.
The BJP central leadership has again reposed faith on Party’s National Vice-President and re-nominated him again. Most of the office-bearers have been retained as vice-presidents, general secretaries and secretaries in the new list.
Baijayant Panda is now Party’s National VP in charge of Assam and Delhi. The Senior BJP leader Panda represented Odisha in Rajya Sabha and Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat from 2009 to 2019.
Nadda has appointed 8 General Secretaries and 13 National Secretaries. BL Santosh continued as National General Secretary (Organisation).
Meanwhile, the party has dropped CT Ravi, a leader from Karnataka, and Dilip Saikia, a Lok Sabha MP from Assam, as its general secretaries.
