After Gujarat, Naveen-Dharmendra focuses on Tamil Nadu

BHUBANESWAR: With stranded Odias started reaching Odisha from Gujarat, State Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik along with Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was on Thursday kept their focus on southern State of Tamil Nadu.

Chief Minister Patnaik discussed with Tamil Nadu CM E K Palaniswamy about the safe return of Odias stranded in that state. Patnaik, during the video conferencing, urged Palaniswamy to arrange for the safe passage of stranded Odias in Tamil Nadu due to nationwide lockdown.

The Odisha CM further requested his Tamil Nadu counterpart to look into the issue and thanked him for his cooperation. Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also joined both the CMs on video conferencing.

It is learned that Tamil Nadu chief minister has assured Patnaik that every possible measure will be taken for the well being of Odias and their safe return.

The Odias staying at Guru Nanak College in Chennai also joined the video conference and thanked the chief minister of Tamil Nadu for his cooperation in making arrangements for their safe return to homes.
