BHUBANESWAR:Today i.e. on 03.01.2026 Hon’ble Court of 3rd Addl. District Judge cum Spl. Judge, Bhubaneswar Dist. Khordha convicted one drug peddler namely Sk Hasim Bux S/o.Eja Bux of Sheikhpal, Jhadeswarpur PS. Jaleswar Dist. Balasore U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS
Act, 1985 in STF PS Case No.27/2020. Basing on the evidence Hon’ble Court
sentenced the accused person to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for 20
Years & to pay fine of 1 Lakh fine against each section and in default of
payment of fine RI for 2 years.
In this case on 30.10.2020 while the accused person was trading contraband
brown sugar near Baramunda Bus stand, Bhubaneswar after procuring the same from
Jaleswar area was apprehended. During search contraband Brown sugar weighing
1177 gram was recovered from his possession.
The seized contraband Brown Sugar was sent to State Forensic Science Laboratory for chemical examination and receivedopinion. The Scientific Officer of SFSL, Rasulgarh opined that the seized contraband is of brown sugar (Diacetylmorphine/heroin). After successful investigation chargesheet was submitted against the accused person along with associate U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985. During trial the prosecution has examined 10 Nos. of witnesses and exhibited 42 numbers relevant documents. The seized contraband brown sugar has already been destroyed as per order of the Hon’ble Court.
