BHUBANESWAR: Late Biju Babu’s Karmabhoomi Kendrapara Parliamentary Segment in Odisha’s politically sensitive coastal pocket was so unfortunate that, it elected an MP to Lok Sabha from a Party named after the legendary Statesman, and in return, only getting bad names for sitting BJD MP Anubhav Mohanty, a so-called popular Odia film star with brother Anuprash Mohanty involved in mining business.
Since his election to Lok Sabha from Kendrapara, at least 4 FIRs have been so far lodged against the Actor, his wife actress Barsha and Brother Anuprash including 2 at Purighat Police limits in Cuttack and 2 at Kendrapara Town PS.
It may mentioned here that, the BJD MP , who always pointed finger towards his opponent BJP National VP-Spokesperson Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda for any allegations raised against him however dragged to court of law by his own BJD Students’ Young leader Manjit Das, one Cuttack based Women Journalist Sasmita Acharya, OTV’s Kendrapara Correspondent Manoj Swain and latest was from a Flex Print shop owner Smruiti Ranjan Swain.
On Thursday, when the entire State was celebrating Basant Panchami, talks in Kendrapara about MP Mohanty following an FIR with this, the so-called popular leader has found himself in a controversy again.
Sources said Smruti Ranjan Swain, a resident of Garapur, owner of Kali Mandir-based Baladevjew Ad Media (a flex print agency), lodged an FIR against Mohanty, stating that during 2019 general election, Mohanty allegedly prepared banners, posters, stickers, hoardings, van decorations, among others, at his shop.
The total bill added up to Rs 32.56 lakh. Mohanty paid him Rs 20.55 lakh in cash, Rs 30,591 May 1, 2019 and Rs 25,370 cash June 19 2019. However, the remaining Rs 11.45 lakh is yet to be paid.
Though he has met him several times in this regard, the MP has not paid heed to his request, alleged Swain. When contacted, SP Niti Sekhar said an FIR has been lodged against Anubhav at Sadar police station and police are looking into this.

Since his election to Lok Sabha from Kendrapara as BJD MP , Actor turn Neta , Anubhav Mohanty only brought shame for the Parliamentary seat while his unholy tales spreads from Cuttack to Kendrapara and Police Stations to Courts.
Where is Swabhiman ? Asked a local in Kendrapara town adding it was a historic blunder electing a leader, who always hitting headlines for all wrong reasons. The studied silence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also raised many eyebrows, added a Kendrapara based Journalist.
In social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram flooded with messages condemning the Kendrapara MP for his unruly behaviour.
Even though BJD has made Anubhav Mohanty as one of their National Spokesperson but not a single day anyone can see the MP in TV channel in National debates or debates relating to Odisha’s interest. “Not a single impressive developmental work has been taken by the MP since his election to Lok Sabha, added a local in Kendrapara.
“Now with allegations after allegations against Anubhav Mohanty, people of Kendrapara Parliamentary segment now started realising their mistakes,” said a Kendrapara veteran in Bhubaneswar .
There have been legends like late Sunil Dutt, Shatrughan Sinha, late Vinod Khanna, late Rajesh Khanna, Jaya Bachchan and Govinda and many more , etc. who have left their imprint on the political arena by their ability to shed the aura or stardom and engage deeply with the causes they have committed to.For MP Anubhav Mohanty, the legends of Hindi cinema who had taken to politics should be examples.
