BHUBANESWAR:A tribute meeting was held at the state office today in memory of the late Prashant Kumar Sahabi, senior leader, first president of Bhubaneswar Sangakkara District and recipient of the Atal Samman.

Prashant Bhai was very responsible and dedicated to every small task. He kept accurate news. He was careful and meticulous in terms of organization. Starting from the medical center, he was directly involved in small and big events. He took everyone along and led the organization’s work unquestionably.
He was a soft-spoken, well-organized, unassuming, religious and friendly person who held a special place in the hearts of the people. The late Senapati was associated with the basic ideology of the party. Under his leadership, the Bhubaneswar district BJP organization expanded significantly.
The late Senapati was a decisive and dedicated politician. Through his humility and kindness, he was able to make everyone his own. He took a leading role in establishing the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bhubaneswar with his sincerity, hard work and commitment. By continuously fighting from the grassroots, he became an inspiration to everyone with his sacrifice and effort. State President Shri Manmohan Samal said while paying tributes to Prashant Bhai, who was truly a mentor to all of us.
Before the memorial service, Vedic mantras were recited wishing the departed soul of Prashant Bhai rest in peace. In this memorial service, MLA Babu Singh, senior leader Ranjan Patel, Sudipta Roy, former minister Arvind Tachali, state general secretary Biranchi Narayan Tripathi, former MLA Priyadarshi Mishra, Jagannath Pradhan, former district president Ratikant Dash, Harekrushna Khuntia, senior leader Jayanti Padhiari, Kananbala Patnaik paid tribute to the late Prashant Bhai and paid tributes. State General Secretary (Organization) Shri Manas Mohanty and many leaders and workers from the state and district were present on this occasion. Bhubaneswar District President Shri Niranjan Mishra conducted the memorial service while Sushant Jena proposed the vote of thanks.
