DHENKANAL/BHUBANESWAR: As many as 9 persons have been arrested in connection with Odisha Gramya Bank robbery at Mahabirod in Dhenkanal district of Odisha on February 3.
It may be noted here that, accused had robbed the bank of gold ornaments worth Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 6 lakh at gunpoint on February 3.
Police also seized around 6 kg gold, Rs 4 lakh, three guns, 11 live bullets, three sharp weapons, 26 mobile phones and a four-wheeler from the arrested persons, sources said.
The arrested have been identified as Basant Bhoi and Basant’s wife Jharana Bhoi., Saddam Khan , Niladri Pradhan , Ranjit Nahak, Dinesh Nayak , Rami Tudu , Balabhadra Nayak , Jitendra Pradhan.
