BHUBANESWAR:The 77th Republic Day of the country was celebrated with great pomp and ceremony at the State Office today. On this occasion, the State President Shri Manmohan Samal hoisted the national flag and conveyed his greetings and gratitude to the 4.5 crore people of Odisha on the occasion of Republic Day. After this, the National Anthem was sung collectively.
On this occasion, Shri Samal said that after 1200 years of independence, the country gained freedom after a long struggle. Then the Constitution was promulgated on January 26, 1950. This Constitution has united all the people of the country. The center of inspiration for all of us, Dr. Bhimrao Baba Saheb Ambedkar, along with his team, promulgated the Constitution to run the country in the right way. Today, this Constitution has been ratified. BJP has always respected the Constitution. Commitment is required to keep the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the country intact. Not only that, commitment is also required from society, individuals, and various problems. Today is the day to remember those who sacrificed themselves and gave up everything for the service of the country and motherland.
Gopabandhu Das, Jai Rajguru, Veer Surendra Sai, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Khudiram Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad, Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab, Nabakrushna Choudhury, Madhusudan Das, Veer Savarkar, Bajiraut, all sacrificed their lives for the country and society. They will always be remembered by us. This year, we are celebrating the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram and Bhagwan Birsamunda, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, while celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the 101st birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the 125th birth anniversary of the Varanasi leader of Odisha, Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab. This worship encourages and inspires all of us.
We are trying to utilize the potential in Odisha. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has called for building a developed India by 2047, while Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has aimed to build a developed Odisha by 2036 and make it the No. 1 state in the country. In the coming days, Odisha will have a big contribution in building a developed India. For this, we all have to make efforts. Everyone has to work with one mind and one soul to build a developed and prosperous Odisha. For this, we have to develop the leadership at the grassroots level and enrich our ideology. We all have to work hard to keep the hopes and trust of the common people unbroken.
After the BJP government came to power in the state, it has fulfilled all the promises made in the resolution in the last 18 months, while it has planned to do a lot more work in the future. Shri Samal sought everyone’s full cooperation for this. State Vice President Dr. Ashok Mishra moderated the program.
