BHUBANESWAR: Yogasana Sports Association of Odisha is the state wing of National Yogasana Sports Association approved by the Government of India, Department of Sports. Yoga in general and Suryanamaskar in particular plays an important role during the prevalence of pandemic. Inorder to promote health and wellness among mankind, the Ministry of AYUSH & the Ministry of Youth & Sports Affair along with different Ministries of Central Government, National Yogasana Sports Federation, Patanjali Yogapeeth, Hridayasparshi Pratisthan, Geeta Parivar and Krida Bharati have taken a joint initiative for 75 crores Suryanamaskar.
The program which started on 3rd January will continue till 20th February in Odisha. Willing Participants have to register at www.75suryanaskar.com choosing options from Individual, Volunteer or Organization. After successful registration and & performance of 13 rounds of Suryanamaskar for 21 days the Participants will be issued certificates by the Ministry of AYUSH. During the above period special programs are to be organised on Makar Sankranti, Republic Day & Ratha Saptami. On the above occasions Odisha is aiming at performance of 5 crores of Suryanamaskar with the participation of 5 lakhs of students and intellectuals from more than 100 organisations.
At the Press Meet, Prof. Prafulla Kumar Mishra, the President of Yogasana Sports Association of Odisha, asked for the whole hearted participation from all. Among others present at the meet were Sudhanshu Adhikari, the state head of Patanjali Yogapeeth & the senior Vice president of YSAO, Dr. Prasant Kumar Pradhan, the Vice president of YSAO, Dibakar Harichandan, the Secretary of Yogamohatsav Samiti, Odisha, HOD and Yoga Coordinator of Dept of Sanskrit Utkal University Dr. Subash Ch Dash, Mr Sarojkanta Mohapatra, the Secretary of YSAO, Rudra Narayana Behera, Asst. Coordinator, Exam Section, Shiksha Vikas Samiti, Odisha and Dr Sanjay Kumar Panda, the Director of 75 Crore Suryanamaskar for Odisha wing addressed to the press today.
