BHUBANESWAR: State Information and Public Relations Department and the Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Foundation hosted a function at Jaydev Bhawan, where many eminent persons spoke on Dr SP Mukharjee life and his contribution to National issues on occasion of his 71st Martyrdom Day.
From Bharatiya Jana Sangh to Bharatiya Janata Party , June 23 has been celebrated not just as a death anniversary of Dr. Mookerjee, but as well a day of resolution to abrogate Article 370 from the Constitution.
Speaker of Odisha Assembly Mrs. Surma Padhy, Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Minister Mr. Nityananda Gond, Educationist Prof. Purnachandra Mallik, President of the Foundation Mr. Bhubanananda Tripathi participated in the program. Mr. Saroj Kumar Samal, Director of the Department delivered the welcome speech.
Dr Shyamaprasad Mukherjee was at once an eminent educationist, a cultural researcher and a great hero of the revolution in India. On the occasion of Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee’s National Sacrifice Day, eminent guests attended the public meeting held at Jaydev Bhawan and expressed this opinion.
