7 councilors, including Patnagarh NAC vice-chairman, leave BJD and join BJP

BHUBANESWAR:On the holy day of Sri Panchami and the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Veer Surendra Sai, as well as on the occasion of Tajwa Diwali, 7 councilors have left BJD and joined BJP under the leadership of Balangir district Patnagarh NAC Vice President Shri Prafulla Kumar Meher.

This has further strengthened the party’s organization in Balangir district, Patnagarh Assembly and NAC. The trust and confidence of the people of the state is increasing day by day on the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the popular Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi.

BJP is the largest political party in the world. BJP and NDA are in government in 21 states of the country. Starting from MPs, MLAs to local representatives, BJP is in power in all the states of India. State President Shri Manmohan Samal said at the merger ceremony held at the state office that everyone should work together to solve the basic problems of the region and develop Balangir district, Patnagarh NAC and Odisha.

Attending the merger ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Shri K.V. Singh Deo welcomed all the new workers to the party and said that together we will implement all the schemes of the government here. We will lead the entire Odisha, including Balangir and Patnagarh, towards development.
On this occasion, along with Shri Prafulla Kumar Meher, Councillors Smt. Hemwanti Meher, Smt. Rita Meher, Shri Shriram Dalai, Shri Lochan Bhoi, Shri Makunda Meher have officially joined the BJP after leaving the main BJD. Similarly, Independent Councillor Smt. Runu Kumbar has also joined the BJP.
State Media Coordinator Shri Sujit Kumar Das, State Cooperative Cell Coordinator Shri Sriranjan Mangaraj, Shri Rashmiranjan Kanungo and Patnagarh City President Shri Sanyasi Bagh were prominently present at this merger ceremony.
