KENDRAPARA/BHUBANESWAR: Very few people know, 5T Secretary VK Pandian had to change his Punjab cadre to Odisha cadre following his marriage with Mission Shakti Secretary Sujata Rout Kartikeyan.
With 5T Secretary now on a 2-days visit to Kendrapara, happens to be the native home of his wife , Sujata Rout Kartikeyan, the Tamil Nadu born , IAS Officers on Thursday given a very traditional welcome at Pattamundai in Kendrapara by women community. Pattamundai’s Andar – Amrutamanohi is Pandian’s wife, Sujata R Kartikeyan’s Native village.
Pandian, a sober and culture loving IAS Officer, accepted the welcome with utmost love and affection and even touched the feet of elders during the traditional welcome, which was talking point in Pattamundai, soon after the officer left the venue to attend other programme of the day.
5T Secretary Pandian along with CM Naveen Patnaik’s Special Secretary R Vineel Krishna are on a 2 days visit.
On arrival, Pandian and Vineel Krishna was given rousing welcome by district administration led by Collector Amrit Ruturaj. 5T Secretary will review various development projects in the district during his 2-days stay.
5T Secretary on arrival reviewed the on-going construction of 500 MT Cold Storage under RMC at Jamdhar and interacted with WSHG members doing golden grass craft at Jajanga and then visited Pisciculture in GP Tank by Jai Sankat Mochan and Maa Sarala WSHG at Badamulabsanta.
Pandian visited to State Institute of Plumbing Technology at Pattamundai and then, he also visited to Indoor Stadium and Hall at Pattamundai.
Pandian visited then, Embroidery Stitching by Utkal Gramin Producer Group under Mission Shakti at Golarhat and offered prayers at Dadhibaman Jew Temple at Golarhat.
After Temple visit, Pandian he held interaction and took his lunch at Mission Shakti Cafe at Derabish and interacted with DLF, BLF, Mission Shakti Functionaries at Sanskruti Bhawan in the afternoon.
After completing interaction session, Pandian held interaction with officials of Proposed Steel Plant (Analysis of Geographical Situation of the Plant Site on a Tropoid Map) at Adoi and then will pay a visit to Maa Ramchandi Temple at Ramnagar
After Temple visit, Pandian will visit 300 bedded new DHH at Samagudia in Kendrapara and then proceed to Ichhapur to offer prayers to Lord Baladevjew Temple in the evening and then he will hold interaction with Association, Social Group and Public Representatives at Kendrapara Circuit House and will have his Thursday night halt at PWD-IB located at Garapur in Kendrapara town.
