SAMBALPUR/BHUBANESWAR: On the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, 5T Secretary VK Pandian made an early morning visit to Sambalpur to review the progress of the various works related to Maa Samaleswari Temple on Sunday.
He directed officials to complete all works in stipulated time. Pandian also offered prayers at the Temple and discussed various issues with servitors and priests,
Works for development of heritage corridor, tourist amenities, road connecting the temple to river bank, decks for Alati, riverfront and lake shore, food parks, Architecture Park & an open air theatre, vending arrangement for sale of various souvenirs are in going on.
It may be noted here that the State Government is implementing Samaleswari Temple Area Management & Local Economy Initiatives (SAMALEI) plan to offer divine experience to tourists & devotees. The project is being carried out under Mo Sarkar 5T, focussing on beautification of temple and economic development of local people.
