BHUBANESWAR: As directed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Secretary to CM (5T) V K Pandian along with a team of senior officials visited Khordha Industrial Park, Food Park, IID Khordha and Jaymangal Industrial Estate on Tuesday. They discussed various issues of industrialists, workers & local people.
The 5T Secretary advised the Industries Department and District Collector to solve the issues within 3 months. Discussions were held on improvements in electricity & water supply, parking facility for trucks, hostels for workers, traffic & waste management and security arrangements.
It was decided that hostel facilities will be set up in every Industrial Estate for 2000 to 3000 workers. The 5T Secretary informed that a special policy will be introduced for the Covid-hit industries. Various industrialists expressed satisfaction over resolution of pending issues.
