BHUBANESWAR: As many as newly recruited 443 teachers for various Adarsh Vidyalaya were on Sunday got their appointment letters. A function to mark Teacher’s Day held, where Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik witnessed the event.
On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, the State Government has handed over appointment letters to newly recruited 443 teachers in various Adarsh Vidyalaya (model schools) in presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The Chief Minister said he wants these schools to become role models in providing quality education to students across the country. On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of the country.
The Chief Minister Patnaik has also announced a ten-point target for the model schools. The points include encouraging the students for blood donation, protection of the environment, engaging in literacy campaigns, yoga, sports and healthy lifestyles, preparing children for success in national & international competitions, and skills development from school time.
In addition, the Chief Minister Patnaik advised each Adarsh Vidyalaya to prepare a ten-year vision document.On the occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the teachers Ashok Kumar Tripathi and Ajit Kumar Sethi, who won the National Teachers Award 2021.
Chief Minister’s Secretary (5T) VK Pandian presided over the programme. He briefed the newly appointed principals and teachers about the state government’s School Transformation Programme. As education plays an important role in the Chief Minister’s efforts to build a new Odisha and Strong Odisha, he advised them to work to fulfill the goal.
School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash, Chairman of the Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya Sagathan, Upendra Tripathi, Chief Secretary SC Mahapatra, Development Commissioner PK Jena and Principal Secretary Satyabrata Sahu were among those attended the function.
