BHUBANESWAR: At least 4 Odia workers facing tough time in Malaysia have returned safely to Odisha after BJP National VP-Spokesperson Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda came into the rescue of them.

Panda, a 4th times MP in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, personally persuaded the matter with Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur and ensured 4 out of 5 have returned safely to Odisha.

“I am glad that 4 of 5 Indian labourers from Odisha who were stranded in Malaysia and had to stay in oppressive conditions, have finally returned to Bhubaneswar yesterday. I am grateful to ⁦the Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with whom I had been following up for their repatriation,” former Kendrapara MP Panda twitted. “I also appeal to the State governments to crack down on unethical labour contractors and agents, in order to ensure people’s rights are not abused,” he added.
