300 Families in Bhubaneswar to undergo COVID-19 Test, 3 Senior IAS officers visits Testing Centres

BHUBANESWAR: With reports of no rise on COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha, which till Friday afternoon stands at 60 including 1 dead, 19 cured and 40 active cases and of the total 60, Bhubaneswar, the State Capital alone reported 46 forcing Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to divide the city into 3 zones and deputing 6 senior IAS officers to man these areas.

As many as 100 families in each of the areas would be tested for the virus while total 300 families from 3 zones will be tested.On Friday, senior IAS officers including Saswat Mishra, Sushil Kumar Lohani and Arvind Agarwal  reviewed the facilities at COVID-19 test centres at Unit-IV Red Cross Training Centre, ,Bhimatangi Government UP School, and  Government Primary School at BJB Nagar.

ZDC South East Zone, Ansuman Rath, and other officers of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation were among those also present and deliberate on steps to be taken to conduct test on 300 families.

The Chief Minister Patnaik has deputed senior IAS officers like SK Lohani and Saswat Mishra were assigned for South East Zone while Ranjan Chopra and Bishnupada Sethi for North Zone and Ashok Meena and Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma for South West Zone in Bhubaneswar.
