3 servitors suspended in Puri Shree Lord Jagannath Temple

PURI:Last month, the Chief Administrator of Puri Shree Lord Jagannath Temple , Dr Arbind Padhee took action, Suar Badu Sevak Shri Narayan Panda and Khuntia Sevak Shri Rajaram Khuntia, have been suspended for two months under Section 21(a) of the Sri Jagannath Temple Act, 1955, for illegally collecting money from the pilgrims near the outer gate and for causing fights and disturbances among themselves over the collection of money, thereby seriously affecting the order, security and dignity of the temple.

Similarly, Mahasuar’s servant Shri Bena Mahasuar has also been suspended from service for two months for instigating the use of Dalda Ghee in the temple premises.
The above three servants have been clearly warned that if they themselves or any other servant or individual tries to create any kind of disorder during this suspension, the suspension period will be extended and even stricter disciplinary action will be taken.
Dr Arbind Padhee, the chief administrator of the temple, has clarified that if any kind of obstruction is created in the temple premises to disrupt the orderly worship of the Lord or the devotees and devotees, the concerned servant or any other person will not be spared and he has sought everyone’s cooperation to maintain the order and dignity of the temple.
