25th anniversary and silver jubilee celebrations of the Odisha Senior Police Officers Women Club were held at Tulsipur Police Colony in Cuttack

BHUBANESWAR:The 25th anniversary and silver jubilee celebrations of the Odisha Senior Police Officers Women Club were held at Tulsipur Police Colony in Cuttack today. State Director General of Security Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania attended the event as the chief guest. DGP Shri Khurania said that this club has created a unique identity by setting an example of service, relationship and social responsibility for 25 years.

In his speech, the DGP said that in the coming days, a special plan will be prepared to make the Police Family Welfare Center functional in all districts and battalions, not just Cuttack-Bhubaneswar. He also informed that appropriate steps will be taken for the skill development of children living in the police colony.

Along with this, the DGP stressed on expanding various welfare programs. Along with this, he informed that progressive steps like collective development and renovation of the Tulsipur Family Welfare Center will be taken. The Senior Officers Ladies Club has earned a lot of fame by organizing many public welfare programs in the past few days. DGP Shri Khurania suggested that this program be further accelerated in the coming days as well.

Shri Binaytosh Mishra, Director General of Security (Crime Branch) was the guest of honour and informed about the significant contribution of the Police Family Welfare Centre to the society. He said that by organizing competitions like dance, singing, drawing, it has played a major role in increasing the self-confidence of young children and making them self-reliant. Additional Director General of Security (Modernization), Shri Soumendra Priyadarshi was the keynote speaker.
At the beginning, the President of the Family Welfare Center Club, Mrs. Ruchira Khurania, gave an overview of the Police Family Welfare Center and the upcoming schedule. At the end of the program, Sonali Mohanty, Editor of the Odisha Senior Police Officer Women’s Club, proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Sabita Parida, Editor of Tulsipur Family Welfare Center, read out the annual report. Later, awards were given to students who achieved success in various fields. Finally, an interesting cultural program was presented by the students.
All the members of the club, senior police officers, school teachers and students participated in this program.
