22 New NAC to come up in 13 Odisha district, Bhanjnagar NAC to be upgraded to a Municipality

BHUBANESWAR:   With talks for BJD-BJP coalition finding no way out, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik continues to woo people by offering new development measures and soups.

Taking the step ahead,  CM Patnaik on Wednesday  has announced that 22 new notified area councils will be formed in 13 districts of the state and Bhanjnagar NAC of Ganjam will be upgraded to a municipality.

The new NACs were Manmunda, Old Cuttack and Banoshuni in Boudh District, Loisingha and Sindhekela in Balangir, Sohela in Bargarh, Baliapal and Kheira in Baleswar, Dhamra in Bhadrak, Rasod in Dhenkan, Narla in Kujang Kalahandi in Jagatsinghpur and Rampur in Madanpur, Sharankul in Bolgad Nayagarh in Khurda, Sachigopal and Kakatpur in Puri, Rengali and Bamanda in Sambalpur.

And places like Subalya, Ulunda and Rampur in Subarnapur district were given the status of notified area councils.
