2000 stranded Odias get Ration after Baijayant Panda takes up matter with BJP’s Bengal Unit

BHUBANESWAR: More than 2000 Odias, mostly from KBK districts of Balangir’s Titalgarh in Western Odisha, got ration materials after BJP National Vice-President and Spokesperson Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda took up the matter with Party’s West Bengal unit.

Sources said some 2000 stranded Odia workers were facing hardship since lockdown put in place with Odisha sealing its borders with Bengal following large scale infiltrations in the wake of rise of COVID-19 positive cases, they have contacted the former 4th times MP , Panda for help and soon after knowing the problem faced by Odia people, the senior BJP leader had spoken to party’s Bengal unit to extend help to them.

“Deepest gratitude to my fellow BJP karyakartas of West Bengal for delivering these rations to a large group of 2,000 migrant Odias in Titagarh, Kolkata.The request had been received from Manoj Ray & forwarded by my office.This spirit of service has made Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) the world’s largest political party,” the BJP National VP-Spokesperson twitted.
